Integrating with Actinic

Steps to integrate your Actinic shopping cart with PayOffline

  1. Apply for your PayOffline Merchant account. If you have not already applied for your PayOffline merchant account, register now.
  2. Once your PayOffline account has been activated you will receive your username and login details. Login with your username and navigate to 'Transaction Settings'. Copy the 'Merchant Key' into your clipboard
  3. Please ensure that the "Always use MD5 signatures" checkbox on the Transaction Settings page is unchecked.

  4. Make sure that you have the latest copy of Actinic installed
  5. Open your Actinic software and open the 'Business Settings' window which can be found under the 'Settings' tab on the top menu bar
  6. Select the 'Payment and Security' tab in the 'Business Settings' window
  7. Add PayOffline as a payment method

  8. Click on the 'Configure Method' button on the left to open the 'Payment Service Provider Configuration' window.


    Copy and paste your PayOffline 'Merchant Key' into the Merchant ID field
  9. Save and exit
  10. Update your Actinic merchant site
  11. Your are now ready to use PayOffline on your e-commerce site
  12. We recommend that you go through our testing procedures before you offer PayOffline live on your site. Click here to see testing procedures
    • If you wish to test your integration you will need to use your Test Merchant Key, you can get this from the Test Settings page of the PayOffline Test Centre.
    • Please also ensure that you select the "Run in test mode" option in the Actinic PayOffline configuration screen.

Please note, your Secret Key is not needed for Actinic integration as a custom solution has been developed to validate transaction details sent from an Actinic shopping cart.

Processing an order

  1. Once your customer checks out their shopping cart, you will be able to retrieve the order from within your Actinic software.

  2. Once the customer makes the payment for that order, you will receive an email informing you of the payment for that order.
  3. You can now proceed to deliver the goods/services to your customer, the funds will then be transferred directly to your bank soon after.
  4. Once delivered, change the Payment status in your Actinic softare to 'Completed'
